PEOI was organized as a not-for-profit fund under the name of Professional Education Organization International Fund in the State of Pennsylvania on March 5, 2001.

PEOI was given US IRS EIN 06-1611940 in April 2001, and received a letter of advanced determination as an organization described in IRS section 501(c)(3) on July 2, 2002. The advance ruling period ends on December 31, 2005.

PEOI has filed Form 990 for year 2001 showing no revenue and expenses of $1,122. The 990 filing for year 2002 is expected to show expenses at least twice the size of those in the previous year. Since PEOI has no revenue and expenses are minimal, no financial statement is currently audited. In the future, complete financial reporting is anticipated.

PEOI has filed a (URS) registration statement in all the states where it has solicited for foundation grants prior to sending such grants inquiries. Filing in 39 states is eventually expected.

PEOI is a registered and verified organization at GuideStar.org where a copy of its IRS 990 annual filing can be viewed. PEOI is also registered with Idealist.org, Sernet, NetAid and Volunteermatch.org.
