Faculty registration and security

PEOI places a great emphasis on the security and integrity of its faculty.

Grade books, grade composition, questions data banks, and course content can only be accessed after multiple checks of faculty identity with faculty code name and password.

Providing assistance to students, giving assignments and grading is the exclusive prerogative of each faculty member. Academic freedom is strongly upheld by PEOI. Yet, faculty members must realize that a student's use of PEOI results depend heavily on the extent and difficulty of student work performed. And the quality of work reflected in the questions asked in the comprehensive final is open for inspection by anyone. It is, therefore, to the advantage of both student and instructor to require high student work standards.

Each faculty grades distribution and contribution to course content is subjected to review by all other faculty and administration. The grading patterns must obviously be consistent with academic accreditation standards. Content contributions must naturally be in line with scholarly work in the field.

Registration is primarily carried out by completing a registration form accessed through the Faculty registration procedure (notwithstanding likely correspondence and interview that may take place). The registration becomes effective only after all the information provided has been verified. Thereupon, portions of the data in the faculty registration form is entered into faculty data bank for all students to inspect with the Faculty list (which appears in Student's menu), when deciding on an instructor. Generally speaking, a individual is accepted as PEOI faculty member if his/her credentials match the standards set by the accrediting organization in a particular field of studies (e.g. for business courses that would be AACSB).
